A Greek Studies Certificate is also available for students who pursue studies up to Year 11 / Year 12 for social, cultural and personal reasons and don't want to sit for a VCE score. The benefits for students of continuing and completing their studies are huge and we aim to provide them with opportunities to succeed and feel proud of their identity.
|
A playgroup for toddlers and younger children will soon be soon running on Saturday mornings.
|
GREEK DANCING: We are delighted that our Greek dancing program will be continuing and we thank Mr Sotiris Sotiriou from Pegasus Dance Academy for his excellent delivery of lessons on our Malvern Valley campus. A rich culture and dance program will also be delivered by our staff on other campuses.
|
SCHOOL FEES: Despite everything in life recently going up, at Zenon we're always trying to make it easier for families to keep their children at the Greek School, as we understand all the responsibilities and chores parents have in bringing up their offspring. Hence this year again, Greek School fees remain the same as they were last year.
|
ADVICE - SHOES: Please ensure that the children come to Greek school wearing closed shoes or runners. No sandals or thongs allowed as these are not safe for dancing.
|
- ZENON POLO SHIRT: We recommend that students wear their Zenon polo-shirt when attending Greek school. This helps them feel proud and makes them stand out when outside in the school yard. It is our school etiquette and or students should feel confident about themselves.
- If you have a Zenon polo-shirt from last year, please wear it on your first day and every other day you attend Greek school. Hopefully your polo-shirt is not too small, but if you need to order one or if you are a new student, you can order one here: https://zenon-education.org.au/about/school-polo-shirt/
- We will put an order with our new supplier next week, so, if you haven't already ordered your polo-shirt, please order by 24th January. Those parents who already filled the polo order in, do not need to do it again.
- Student stationery list: We would like our students to be organised withtheir learning, we threfore recommend that they have the correct stationery with them at Greek school. Please don't include any items in their school bag other than the ones included in the stationery list which has been carefully been put together y our school. The stationery list can be accessed through this link - https://zenon-education.org.au/resources/student-stationery/
- Zenon calendar: Available on the website - https://zenon-education.org.au/school-calendar/
- Covid-19 policy: This policy is in place as guided by the Department of Education and enables us to operate safely and for the benefit of all students, staff and families. Details following this link - https://zenon-education.org.au/about-zenon/our-policies/covid-safe-policy/
- Child Safe policy and Emergency Management plan: these are in place to protect students and staff and are updated every year. Our school staff are trained in these areas.
- Vaccinations: All Zenon staff are fully vaccinated, including the booster shots.
- Sanitisers: We advise that students have their own sanitizer in their bag to use when needed. Sanitisers will also be provided in the school areas and students will be reminded to sanitise their hands regularly, especially before eating their snacks, after coming inside from recess and when using the bathrooms.
- Covid cleaning: A Covid cleaning will be taking place before classes begin in areas that are used by our students and staff during our sessions.
- Sharing of food, stationery or other items will be discouraged.
- Parents and guardians are asked to NOT enter the school building and classrooms.
|
If you need to speak to a teacher or the principal, please approach one of the staff members who will be at the door.
|
Parents/guardians are to drop off and collect their children outside the main school building. There will be staff members outside to guide you.
