HAPPY - HOLIDAYS !

Dear parents,

Term 2 of this academic year is now complete and the children have a chance to relax and meet with friends. However, please take care, Covid-19 is not over yet, and the flu is making its presence felt at this time of the year.

There are a number of worthwhile activities to take part in during this holiday period but there is a unique opportunity to witness an exhibition at the Melbourne Museum which we recommend.

The Exhibition is called Open Horizons - Ancient Greek Journeys which includes 44 items that tell "the story of ideas, influences and connections that form and build communities". The exhibition will take visitors on a journey through Ancient Greece exploring how the trade of ideas and goods influenced Greek culture, and in turn influenced the ancient world.

Open Horizons will be in Melbourne until mid-August and we would encourage you to enjoy it with your family.

The exhibition offers visitors a once in a lifetime opportunity to see some of the most extraordinary collection items from the National Archaeological Museum in Athens. An impressive marble sphinx depicting a female head with the body of a winged lion will be featured in exhibition and on view for the very first time outside of the National Archaeological Museum.

For your convenience we have included the link to the Exhibition below. Just click on the image and it will take you to the specific website for more information.
