SPARTANS & ANZACS Exhibition
and "The Flowers of Rethymnon"
2026

Dear Parents,

Right now, the Shrine of Remembrance in Melbourne is hosting a very special exhibition that speaks directly to the Greek heritage we celebrate at Zenon. Spartans & ANZACs runs from 15 April 2026 through to April 2027, and entry is completely free.

Our staff has visited the Exhibition at the Shrine Museum and feel it is important for our families to make the time and visit it in the next few months, or during school holidays.

More information about the Exhibition you can find on the Zenon Greek School website here and we encourage you to take a look. It connects the history of the battle at Thermopyllae and King Leonidas to the ANZACS who fought the Nazis in 1941 at exactly the same place in Greece.

You will also find details about the Screen of the film "The Flowers of Rethymnon" on the same page link. - https://zenon-education.org.au/shrine-of-remembrance-visit/

Best wishes,
Andrea Garivaldis
