👶 Protecting the Rights of Our Youth
Education is about more than just absorbing data; it is about cultivating critical thought, cultural identity, and human connection. Uncontrolled, predatory AI development threatens the rights of our youth in three distinct ways:
- The Right to Cognitive Sovereignty: Children deserve to grow up in an environment where their learning, writing, and thinking are supported by authentic human educators—like the team at Zenon—not dictated by opaque, profit-driven algorithms.
- The Right to Cultural Integrity: Global AI models are trained on dominant datasets that frequently dilute or misrepresent community languages, histories, and cultural nuances. Without regulation, we risk homogenising the unique heritage of our multicultural youth.
- The Right to Digital Safety: Advanced AI systems are actively harvesting data and deploying persuasive technologies targeted at young minds without independent, pre-market safety testing.
