Secondary shool classes are offered to students in Years 7 and 10, before entering VCE. At this level, students extend their knowledge and skills in language, and are further immersed in the Greek culture. They begin preparation for VCE.
High school classes are offered to students in Year 7 to Year 12, with the final two years covering the VCE study and Zenon Program. During the secondary years, students extend their knowledge and skills in language and are further immersed in the Greek culture.
Students are offered a program that incorporates language and culture that enables them to interact in the Greek language, using their individual skills and capabilities to increase knowledge and skills. They participate in conversations and role plays, reading and text understanding, writing for language practice and text construction, practical grammar, exploring Greek life and culture through dancing, drama and creative activities (Greek cuisine, traditions etc), listening to songs and stories, and taking opportunities to establish friendships and socialize with peers.
Students have the opportunity to:
- continue and study for the Victorian Certificate of Education (VCE) or
- complete the Greek Language Certificate where no examinations are required at completion.
Zenon students have had 100% success in their VCE examinations so far, with many of them being among the first 10% top-scorers of Victoria.
