Student Awards 2013

It pleases us to say that Zenon Education students have received awards again for the work they accomplished in the Australian Hellenic Memorial Competition. Each prize carries a monetary award as well as a certificate.

Students, their parents and their teachers made it to the beautiful gardens at the Shrine of Remembrance on Sunday 12th October 2014 at 12:30pm and received their awards. In the photographs below you will see the photos we took from the Ceremony. It is worth mentioning that this Greek Monument is the only monument other than the Shrine at the beautiful Botanical Gardens of Melbourne.

Zoe Vlahos is from Zenon’s Saturday Classes, Gregory Amanatidis is from Zenon’s Tuesday Classes and Yahna Tsioutras is in Zenon’s Monday Classes. Two of these students have as their teacher Mrs Riana Kousouris and one has Mrs Andrea Garivaldis. Congratulations to the teachers, they are very proud

It is also worth mentioning that these students have received awards after about four hundred students that took part from many parts of Victoria. It makes this award worth the efforts of these students. (In the galleries below you can press the FS button to view the photos in full screen).

Now a true story…

In the same award ceremony a student from Pythagoras Greek School in Elwood by the name of Dion Kouskouris has received an award for a story she put together after interviewing her grandmother. Some of the parents from our school asked that if we could get hold of Dion’s story to read. So here it is below. Congratulations to Dion, a large number of people where inspired by her entry.
